Last nightactually for most of the afternoon til night yesterday I was talking with Criz and Lhea about Terrence Romeo’s look-alikes. So this is what we came up with.Over Twitter:
@Crizteta: @reichmakayan @lheajanesoc ay, may hawig nga si Daniel Padilla kay Terrence. Pero lamang pa rin si Enrique. Hahaha!
@lheajanesoc: @crizteta @reichmakayan HAHA! DANIEL Padilla pa rin ako ate. Terrence kung Terrence eh. Pamatay na ngiti yan o! :D
@Crizteta: @lheajanesoc @reichmakayan ah basta Enrique pa rin ako. Haha. Kahit cute si Daniel :))
Girls, ako hindi. JB. Justin Bieber kamuka nya. =)
Sometimes, it isn’t about winning… It’s about the school spirit and being proud to raise your fist and sing the hymn.♥?♥
a future nurse's thoughts :): A big CLAP CLAP for the WONDERKID →
Terrence Romeo, hands down and bow na bow ako sayo. Nakita ko sayo yung tinatawag na “tunay na Tamaraw” — yung may will to win, lumalaban hanggang sa huli, di nawawalan ng loob, naniniwala sa kakayahan ng lahat at kayang ibuwis kahit sarili niya, manalo lang. Kahit malayo kami, tanaw na tanaw ko…
fast forward to 5 (years)
Aimless life is certainly a sin. People who have no definite aim in life are like the travelers going ahead without any destination. Such people lead an aimless life and what they do in life is largely a matter of chance; determined by the circumstances in which they happen to be placed. Aimless people do not achieve anything in life; they just live because they have to live. One should have a definite purpose of life. The people who want success in life determine their target. They keep before them their circumstances, their virtuous, qualities, talents and ability to work. They select some definite target of their life and remain successful.
Different people have different aims in life. Some aim at wealth, some at power, some at fame, some at business and some at education and knowledge. But for me, my aim is neither wealth nor fame; my aim is to help people and to make a difference. I wish to serve people with best of my talent because I am the type of person who loves doing humanitarian deeds. Because of my passion of helping people, becoming a doctor is always been my dream ever since I was a child. It is a noble profession and in medical field, there is much more scope of service. I wish to become a very successful doctor in the near future so I am studying hard to achieve my target.
After obtaining my medical degree, I plan to take Medical Oncology as my specialization. A Medical Oncologist is a doctor who manages a cancer patient’s course of treatment and who usually follows, or examines at regular intervals the patient who is in remission or who has been cured. Medical Oncology specializes use of medications such as chemotherapy, hormones and analgesics to relieve pain in the management of cancer. The role of the Medical Oncologist is more than just prescribing medications to treat cancer. They care for the patient from the moment of diagnosis throughout the course of the disease and survivorship by —- educating the patient about their form of cancer and the stages of its development, discussing treatment options and making recommendations to the patient, monitoring the care and treatment of the patient throughout the course of the disease and working with the patient to improve the quality of life through healing therapy and in the management of pain and symptoms.
I chose Medical Oncology as my specialization in the future because as we all know, prevalence of cancer is continuously increasing and there are only few doctors here in the Philippines who are specializing Medical Oncology today. Familial factor is also a reason why I want to become a Medical Oncologist. There have been four cases of colon cancer on my mom’s side and two of them died because of it. I don’t want any more relative to suffer from it and I don’t want to lose a love one again because of cancer that is why I am going to specialize in Medical Oncology. And if I will be a Medical Oncologist, I will be able to help a lot of people suffering from the big C. With the help of the Almighty,I will do all my best for me to help my patients.
To become a doctor, a Medical Oncologist in particular, I will endure a lot of training and education. Even though Med school and training are very hard and expensive, it will pay off for me in the end. I am willing to sacrifice few years of my life and money to make an effort in bettering our world and to make a difference in someone’s life. :)
I survived my first year in Med school so bring it on second year!:)
Froyo moments with my BestGurlFriend. :) <3
Life is yours so DON’T ASK, just TAKE IT. :))
God puts people in your life for a reason, and removes them from your life for a better reason.
GOD is the ultimate Healer; the Doctor is just an instrument of His healing power.
GOD is the ultimate Healer; the Doctor is just an instrument of His healing power.

really missing my alma mater

it’s been one year and three months since i graduated and left the portals of my beloved alma mater, the FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY. for four years, FEU has been my home. it is where i shed a lot of tears, shared a lot of smiles and laughs; where i learned to enjoy studying; it is where i experienced the UAAP crowd to cheer for my beloved school and where i enjoyed the life of being a TAMARAW; met new friends and mingled with different types of people; it is where i learned to integrate with different types of people; it is where i experienced all the toxicity in studying; it is where i experienced a lot of pressure from my mentors [especially the toxic ones ;)] and from my subjects as well; it is where my talents were improved and it is where my skills (especially nursing skills) were molded; it is where i enjoyed the privilege of having the VINES lab (which FEU is first here in the Philippines and second in Asia to have it (VINES)) to enhance my nursing skills; it is where i learned to be an independent lady; it is where i learned to stand everytime i fall and where i really learned the true meaning of the quote “never give up”; it is where i gained more confidence and develop my self - esteem more; it is where i learned to hold on and keep my faith in GOD; it is where i was molded to become a better person —- far better than who i am before… to sum it all up, FEU molded me to become a better person hollistically (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually)… :) …and that is why i really love my alma mater and also the reason why i am very proud to be a TAMARAW. :) i really owe FEU so much and forever, i will be grateful for all the things that FEU have given and done to me…
it’s really funny ‘cause when i am still at FEU, me and friends keep on saying: “sana grumaduate na tayo para matapos na lahat ang katoxican naten!”. …and my ates and kuyas who graduted already always disagree with our statement and they keep saying: “naku, wag niyong sasabihin yan kasi once na grumaduate na kayo at wala na kayo sa Piyu, naku, mamimiss niyo ang buong FEU!:)”. and this is it now, i’m missing FEU so much already. :(( …so much that it makes me feel that it’s like i want to go there as soon as i could.
haaaaay. i really miss the FEU community —- the FEU hymn, the uniform, the gates 1, 2, 3 & 4, the elevators, the ACs, the chairs, the classrooms, the VINES lab, the IN office, the OSACs, the library, the e - library, the buildings, the pavilion, the chapel, the lovers’ lane, the freedom park, the auditorium, the UCC, the TB hall, the gym, the open grounds, the coop, the canteens, the tayuman, the food court and all the things even the smallest things in it!:(
i also miss eating the foods in there —- the fries, kwek kwek, cheesy corn, shawarma, beef steak, milo and lemonade at EB canteen; the saba con yelo, siomai, braeded chicken, pork ton katsu, cordon blue, chicken barbecue, pancit and minute maid at Tayuman; the kikiam, squid ball, egg pie, baked mac and tapa at NRH canteen; the chicken of tropical hut, sizzlings and pizza at the food court and the sandwich at the AB canteen!;((
…and most importantly, i miss the crowd and all the people in FEU —— the class adviser (sir tj), the professors, the CIs, the coordinators, the audit coordinators (sir tj and sir terrence), the RAs (who turned out to be my friends), the associate dean, dean b, all the people in IN office, the people at the OSACS, people at the peers’ office, the employees at the admin building, president echauz, mr. and mrs. montinola, my friends at the lower years (institute of nursing), the batch gov’t, the INSC officers, my org. mates at the TAMARAW VOLUNTEERS, all my classmates (especially the BSN942 astig and BSN942 new), all the varsities who always make us, the TAMARAWS proud (especially the volleybelle daquis and the men’s basketball team and i also miss seeing the BABY TAMARAWS having their training there during summers), the medical professionals at the clinic, the librarians, clerks at the registrar, the guards and the friendly JAMAS and RELIANCE… :(( i really miss all the people in there… ;((
i really miss everything and everyone in FEU (literally)!;(( how i wish it’s vacation time already so that i can go and visit my beloved alma mater… i’ll treasure within my heart forever the F-E-U!:)
before i end my blog, i’ll leave you with the FEU hymn:
“far eastern onward, beloved alma mater
onward, oh lead us, the GREEN and GOLD in view
in thy happy halls, our young hearts saw the light
command thy sons and daughters, to battle for the right
though far from home, our feet may roam, our love will still be true
our voices shall UNITE to PRAISE thy name anew
we’ll TREASURE within our HEARTS the FEU
in thy happy halls, our young hearts saw the light
command thy sons and daughters, to battle for the right
though far from home, our feet may roam, our love will still be true
our voices shall UNITE to PRAISE thy name anew
we’ll TREASURE within our HEARTS the FEU
we’ll TREASURE within our HEARTS the F-E-U!”
i owe a lot to you my beloved alma mater. i will always treasure you in my heart no matter what. i am so proud to be a part of the TOP NURSING SCHOOL in the PHILIPPINES and one of the BIG school in the PHILIPPINES —- the FAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY.:) i am very proud to say I AM A FULL BLOODED TAMARAW, not just a simple Tamaraw but, A TAMARAW NURSE in mind, in heart and in my soul!:) proud to be “TATAK PIYU”!:))
